For the past five years, I've been paying for emergency insurance from Row for landlords. Recently, my tenant had to make a claim. When they called, they ended up waiting about 40 minutes in a phone queue, and only got basic info taken when they finally got through. After 36 hours with no sign of help, I decided to call and see what was going on.

Row then told me they could send someone out, but only if I covered the excess. An hour later, they rang back to say there were no plumbers available in my area. Living in North London, that’s just not acceptable.

They suggested I find a plumber myself and promised to reimburse me. Since I submitted the invoice, I haven’t heard a peep from them, even after following up. I’m starting to feel like I’ve just thrown away five years’ worth of premiums.

Hey folks, just a heads up! It’s super quick and affordable, but if you run into issues, they won’t lift a finger. You end up paying for nothing. Honestly, this company feels like a total scam to me. I got a TV and even bought insurance from them, everything seemed to go smoothly at first. But after a year, when I broke the screen, I logged into their site to file a claim and filled out all the necessary info. Then I got the news that my claim was denied. They told me they only cover stuff that’s a year old. If something goes wrong after that, it’s not their problem anymore. The kicker? They keep taking money from my account every month for absolutely nothing. When I reached out, I was stunned. The first guy I spoke to admitted I was paying for nothing and couldn’t help me. Then, a month later, another guy called and blamed me for not realizing their coverage was only for 12 months. He didn’t even listen to my side. It’s pretty convenient for them to keep collecting money without providing any service. They should at least notify you when your policy no longer covers certain things. I felt like a fool just handing over cash. Thank goodness I broke the screen and canceled the policy. Who knows how long I would’ve kept paying—5 or even 10 years? That’s like throwing away £150 a year! And by the way, they have no plans to refund anything. Sure, it’s easy to buy and cheap, but think twice before you dive in because cheap doesn’t always mean good. Stay alert!
